What is a
Better Breathers' Club?
Better Breathers'
Clubs combine educational programs with social opportunities designed
to create a better understanding of chronic lung disease and how to
live with it. Educational programs include films, literature and
demonstrations as well as speakers such as physicians and other health
care professionals who specialize in the care of persons with Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Better Breathers' Clubs are also
people helping people ... mutual encouragement and exchange of
information by meeting together and sharing experiences.
Who Can Join?
Patients, family
members, friends or anyone interested in the better management of lung
disease problems may join. Meetings are free and open to all.
How Can I Get Connected?
The American Lung
Association of Central California sends a bi-monthly newsletter
listing the meeting topics, speakers and locations of each meeting.
Newsletters also contain interesting bits of lung health news. Simply
call the American Lung Association of Central California office and
ask to have your name placed on the mailing list.
